PROMOTING PUREBRED DOGS SINCE 1938

The Danville Kennel Club was established in Danville , VA in 1938 and became a non-profit Virginia Corporation in 1949. DKC is an all-breed club committed to the sport of dogs. The club and our members share the common interest of responsible dog ownership and welcome all with dogs.

The objectives of the club are to: 
(a) To further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs 
(b) To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of dog shows, obedience trials, 
and agility trials 
(c) To work to protect the rights of all dog owners 
(d) To promote responsible dog ownership 
(e) To encourage sportsman like competition at such events 
(f) To conduct dog shows, obedience trials, agility trials, tracking tests and any other event 
for which the club is eligible under the rules and regulations of the American Kennel 
Club, Inc. (AKC).
